Strengthening the Digital Ecosystem Supporting the Community Sector 

What is the Leadership and Innovation component of the DATAide program?

This component offers a space for reflection, learning, sharing and experimentation for community players who aspire to use digital technology to further their mission. 

You do not need to have attended any of DATAide's other learning streams to participate. However, to access the Leadership stream, you must first register for an information meeting.

Who is this training for? 

Managers and employees in charge of digital-transformation projects within their organizations .

Upcoming dates

The Component 3 cohorts will meet in Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and Fall 2027. Component 3 takes place over 4 days, divided into 2 blocks of 2 days each. 

This third learning component of the program will be presented both virtually and in-person. Each cohort will include 15 organizations. Travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed for cohorts attending in person.

Description of the Leadership and Innovation training component 

This training is designed to train change agents who can initiate and support digital initiatives while listening to other people, being open to their ideas, and collaborating with them, thus helping to create a more equitable, responsible digital future.

The objectives of Leadership and innovation: Strengthening the Digital Ecosystem Supporting the Community Sector are to:

a. Navigate the digital ecosystem with ease:

Understand how digital technology is transforming society, organizations and individuals’ behaviour and recognize the critical importance of keeping abreast of technological trends and their impact on society.

c. Foster engagement and cross-disciplinary collaboration:

Develop strategies for creating inclusive spaces where co-creation and collaboration can thrive, thus strengthening the community’s ability to innovate and to meet digital challenges effectively and creatively.

b. Act as a catalyst for innovation:

Use a people-centred approach to carry out innovative digital-transformation initiatives and apply a sound understanding of your role in encouraging progress and innovation both within and beyond your organization.

What does this training cost?

This training is valued at CA$6500 but is offered for free to anyone who works for a Quebec non-profit organization that fights poverty and social exclusion. Participants’ salaries may also be reimbursed under certain conditions.
